The Main Event Gallery's "Art of the Galaxy, Out of this World" exhibit will feature astrophotographers Norman Nasise, Brent Simons and artist Jeff Fennel, along with Gallery member's art. Norman Nasise, peered at the moon for the first time at age 12 through his neighbor's eight inch telescope, built from WWII surplus parts. He has been obsessed with astronomy ever since, building his own observatories and hosting star parties. Brent Simons has been interested in astronomy since acquiring his first telescope at age 12. He moved to Northern California for the Dark Sky. Building his own observatory and experiencing a year-long learning curve, he was finally satisfied with his astrophotos. Jeff Fennel is an multi-media artist, working in many disciplines and mediums across the arts. He is known for his dynamic, multi-dimensional painting on brushed aluminum, painting on odd shaped pieces of scrap metal with imperfections that he calls artifacts.
