2019 Christmas Tree Cutting Permits Available for Sale at Forest Service Ranger Stations

Christmas tree cutting permits for the Shasta-Trinity and Lassen National Forests are available for purchase at ranger stations all over the Shasta Cascade region.

Each tree permit costs $10, valid through Dec. 25 and there is a limit to one tree per household for Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Each household may purchase up to two permits for Lassen National Forest.

Although tree cutting is permitted through Dec. 25, officials recommend cutting early in the season before high elevations become snowbound, according to the Lassen National Forest website.
