Description:
Douglas City

Location: Along the Trinity River. Follow State Highway 299 to Steiner Flat Road, one-half mile west of Douglas City. Elevation: 1,500 feet. Facilities: 18 tent/trailer campsites, group picnic area, picnic tables, telephone, beach, paved loop road, flush and vault toilets, potable water, and fire rings. Permits are required for use of group picnic areas and are available from the BLM office in Redding. You can see panoramic views from several campsites. Vegetation: Ponderosa Pine, Douglas fir, Oaks, & Madrone. Stay Limit: 14 days per calendar year. Use Season: May 1st - November 1st. Use Fee: $10.00 per vehicle, per night (subject to change). Nearest Services: Douglas City and Weaverville.

Junction City Campground

Tent/Trailer Camping

Location: 1 1/2 miles west of Junction City on State Highway 299. Elevation: 1,500 feet. Vegetation: Ponderosa Pine, Madrone. Facilities: 22 tent/trailer campsites, paved loop road, vault toilets, potable water, fire rings, and picnic tables. Stay Limit: 14 days per calendar year. Use Season: May 1st - November 1st. No potable water after Nov. 1st. Use Fee: $8.00 per vehicle, per night (subject to change). Nearest Services: Junction City or Weaverville.

Steelbridge Primitive Campground

Tent/Trailer Camping, Day-Use, River Access

Location: About three miles east of Douglas City on State Highway 299, then two miles north on Steel Bridge Road. Elevation: 1,700 feet. Facilities: Nine camping sites with picnic tables and fire rings, day-use parking area, vault toilet. No potable water. Vegetation: Ponderosa Pine, Willows, Oaks. Stay Limit: 14 days per calendar year. Use Season: Year-round. Use Fee: $5.00 Nearest Services: Douglas City and Weaverville.

Steiner Flat Campground

Tent/Trailer Camping, River Access

Location: Public lands along the Trinity River on Steiner Flat Road, past Douglas City campground. Elevation: 1,500 feet. Facilities: No toilets, no potable water. Stay Limit: 14 days per calendar year. Use Season: Year-round. Use Fee: None. Nearest Services: Douglas City or Weaverville.
