Located southwest of Corning, the lake is seven miles long and has 40 miles of shoreline with three boat launch ramps. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, equestrian trails, and many other outdoor activities. Hunting restricted to shotguns and archery only (license required).

Two campgrounds available: Buckhorn - 65 campsites, group campsite, open year-round. Showers, playground, nature trail, shoreline access, exercise area, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, mountain bike trails, fish cleaning station, day use area with picnic shade shelters and barbeques.

Orland Buttes - 35 campsites, group campsite open, April 1 - mid-September. Showers, nature trail, lake views, horseshoe pits, fish cleaning station and 18-hole disc golf course.
