Hidden treasures in the district include Joss House Weaverville State Historic Park, a Taoist temple in continuous use since 1875; Trinity Lake, with many secluded, tree-lined coves that are perfect for anglers and houseboaters; and Lewiston Lake, a paradise for fly fisherman, canoers, and campers.
